How Innostax helped For Profit Pediatric Healthcare Provider build their web and mobile application

The Challenge

The goal of the project was to develop apps that made it easier for schools to use telemedicine while being affordable and reliable. The initial project started in June and was ready to launch at the start of the 2021 school year.

Once the app was developed, the client was able to successfully launch and pair with schools to be on track to meet their 300-500 partnered school goal by the end of the year.

Challenges We Overcame

The development process had its twists and turns. Due to the global pandemic, changing state recommendations and strict timelines, the team had to remain vigilant.

Unique Aspects of the Project.
Although there was a rough outline in place, this project essentially started from the ground up. User experience was of the utmost importance because the prior system took too long and had too many hoops to jump through. This was a unique project being that we were able to stick to the timeline and help our client provide a valuable tool for schools amidst a pandemic.

The ATF has to review every aspect of the solution built and any actions taken thus far and perform a mock inspection. Every time an FFL wants to get approval to digitally store Form 4473s, they have to secure a separate variance from the ATF.

Whenever someone purchases a firearm from a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL), they’re required to fill out a Form 4473. These forms have to be stored for twenty years by an FFL, and up until 2008, they even had to be filled out on paper. Eventually the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms allowed e4473 software to be used, which made completing the form much simpler, but FFLs still had to print it out and store it.

Regulations for this particular industry have changed and become more strict. With this in mind, what was a traditional filing cabinet industry had to be able to be cloud based. This is where we stepped in to help this client out.
